Our Arrival & First Impressions
Entry was really easy, we had the first slot booked and didn’t have to queue to get in once it opened. We did notice a lot of people waiting outside so we thought it would be busy but we assume they were doing something else as it was not busy once in there at all.
Activities Breakdown
There’s a huge variety of attractions, from the soft play and climbing frame to the slide, Paw Patrol vehicles and lots of interactive stations throughout. We also went on the main ride and spent time in the “boating school” area, which is like bumper cars without the bumping, which they both really enjoyed. Meeting SpongeBob and other characters at different times was a big highlight too. Unfortunately, my goddaughter was just too short for the 4D cinema, which was a shame, but there was still plenty for her to do. It’s a lively, colourful place with lots to keep little ones entertained, and we’d definitely go back again.

Boating school
Like a bumper cars ride but no bumping. Francis is car mad and loved steering around. We just wish there were two steering wheels so it was easier for us to steer and him to be involved
Food & Drink
There was a small café like a Starbucks however due to the location being next to Lakeside, we took advantage of kids eat free elsewhere. This was my second visit, however, and I had previously bought the refillable slushy cups and was able to refill two of them for less than £2.
Money-Saving Tip
Look out for dining offers in the restaurants at lakeside as most of them are kids eat free in half term.

Overall Verdict & Ratings
The play areas were clean and well maintained, and I felt comfortable letting the children explore and play. Everything felt safe and suitable for younger children, which made it much easier to relax and enjoy the visit with them.
There was a good variety of rides and entertainment, with plenty aimed at younger children. My 3-year-old really enjoyed the rides and seeing the Nickelodeon characters. There were a few things he wasn’t quite old or tall enough for yet, but I think there’ll be even more for him to enjoy as he gets older.
There was a reasonable choice of food and drinks, and it was convenient having options within the lakeside. However, I thought the food was fairly average and this could be an area that could be improved.
Despite it being busy, the queues moved fairly well and we didn’t find the waiting times too difficult with a young child. There was enough going on around to keep him entertained while we waited.
We had a really fun day overall! My 3-year-old loved the rides and was so excited to see the Nickelodeon characters. It was lovely seeing his face light up, and there was plenty to keep him entertained throughout the day.
We felt it was really good value for a few hours, not necessarily a whole day out, especially with how much there was for younger children to enjoy. We’d definitely come back as he gets older, as I think he’ll be able to enjoy even more of the rides and attractions
The Final Verdict:
I’d say it was perfect for his age, and probably for children up to a year or two older. He was excited by the rides, characters and everything going on around him, and there was plenty to keep him entertained. However, I do think older children may find it gets a little repetitive or boring fairly quickly, as there isn’t quite the same level of excitement for bigger kids. For younger children, though, it’s a lovely day out and we’d definitely return.
