Our Arrival & First Impressions
I had been here as a child and remembered how amazing it was. I was very excited to now take my own family here too.
Activities Breakdown
The whole building was filled with so many experiences from free science shows to hands on table top activities. We went during the summer holidays and although it was busy you didnt have to wait long for a turn on each activity.

Vein finder
There was an xray type machine and once you placed your hand into the green light it was able to show you your veins - we all tried this as it was so cool

Water table
There was a huge S shaped water table which our son really enjoyed. He experimented with building dams and watching how the boats travelled through the water course.

Unlock the gate
Now this puzzle is the one thing I found the best when I was a child and I was so happy to still find it here! After a while if trying the boys however struggled with how to open it so I had to show them 😆
Food & Drink
We didnt actually use the cafe but there is a one on site which had a lovely menu and an ice cream parlor next door too.
Money-Saving Tip
You can take your own picnics or rake a short walk and find lots of cafe's and resturants.

Very well maintained equipment and cleanliness.
So much to interactive with and explore!
All looked lovely but we didnt visit during our stay
Although it was busy we never had to wait more that 3 minutes for an activity.
So so much to see and do!!
Again so much to see and do, no time limits to anything and you can go back to an activity later if you would like another go.
The Final Verdict:
I would 100% recomend Techniquest to anyone who's planning a trip to Cardiff. Children of any age can take part, there are sensory parts for babies and so many hands on experiences to discover for both children and adults!
