Our Arrival & First Impressions
Plenty of free parking. Near the front entrance, there was mini golf which is included in your ticket.
We arrived and were immediately impressed by the Roundhouse Museum. So many beautifully restored locomotives to see up close, and the site is really well organised and clean. Feels much bigger than you expect from the outside.
Activities Breakdown
We went on a rainy summer's day and had a fantastic time. There’s so much to do even on a rainy day.
Tickets were £10 each for everyone, which is really good value considering all that's included:
- Unlimited train rides on both the main Narrow Gauge Railway and the little Mease Valley miniature railway down to the woods. Times are listed on the board so you can plan around them.
- Mease Valley Woodland Trail - you get there on the little miniature railway, hop off and do a lovely circular walk through the woods with bug hotels and wildlife facts to spot. We didn't do it because of the rain but it looked lovely.
- The Roundhouse Museum with its world-renowned loco collection and working turntable.
- Toby's Barn Soft Play - 60 minute session in the 3-tier railway themed soft play, perfect for when it rained. Clip n Climb is £5 extra.
- Little Statfold Role Play Village - a little town with shops and dress-ups where kids can be whoever they want to be - cafe barista, shopkeeper, police officer, hairdresser and more. It's brand-new and great for younger ones, and grown-ups can sit and relax while they play.
- Fellumpa Mini Golf - 9-hole course.
- Strawberry Play Park: Outdoor playground, a shaded Toby’s Dig-It gravel pit with sit-on diggers, zip-wire, swings and slides
- Outdoor Helter Skelter by the inflatables, included free.
- Indoor inflatables - 2 inflatable bouncy castles with slides
- National Fairground Museum - entry to look around is included, you just pay £3 a token if you want to ride the vintage carousel, dodgems, ghost train etc.
- K-Pop party week - there was a special event on during our visit with music and dancing which was a fun extra.
The only extras are food from Diane's Diner, fairground tokens (£3 tokens) and Clip n Climb (£5).

We ate at Diane's Diner. There was a good choice of hot and cold food and kids meals. Kids lunch boxes were £6.95 each and had a sandwich, crisps, a drink, raisins, and a cheese block included. You can eat inside or take it outside. There are picnic benches too if you bring your own food.
Money-Saving Tip
To reduce costs, bring a picnic - there are plenty of picnic benches.

Very clean and well maintained throughout. Staff were on hand ensuring everyone was safe. Felt very safe for kids.

Visited during K-Pop Party Week and it wasn’t busy. No long queues for trains or play areas. Plenty of space across the site so never felt crowded. Easy to get around.
The boys had an amazing day and didn't want to leave. There’s so much to do there.
Outstanding value for money. £10 ticket included unlimited train rides, play park, soft play, role play village, mini golf and museums. We were there for 6 hours and could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back.
The Final Verdict:
We had a fantastic full day out at Statfold Country Park. For £10pp we got unlimited rides on the Narrow Gauge and Mease Valley railways, plus the Strawberry Play Park, Toby's Barn soft play, role play village, inflatables, mini golf and museums. The site was very clean, safe, and easy to get around with plenty of picnic space. K-Pop Party Week with music and dancing was on during our visit which was a fun extra bonus. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family and we will definitely be back.
