Our Arrival & First Impressions
One of our favourite places, the ticket desk is easy to navigate and there’s never been a large queue when we’ve been before.
Plenty of parking is available along with a large disabled car park at the front.
Maps are given out to help navigate the way around the zoo.
Activities Breakdown
There is so much to do at Peak Wildlife Park.
You can see lots of animals in up close, clean enclosures - they have everything from rabbits to polar bears with plenty of enclosures that you’re able to walk through.
There are a number of outdoor play areas and an indoor soft play section too.
In Summer, there’s a bouncy castle and in Winter when we have been they’ve had marshmallow toasting available.

Get Up Close & Feed the Animals
I’ve never been anywhere where you can get so up close with the animals. You can feed and stroke the wallabies, groom the goats, feed the deer, stroke the lemurs if they come to you. It’s a fantastic experience. Bags of feed are available for £1.50 from the ticket desk.

Polar Bears
The polar bears are a beautiful addition to the zoo and just seeing them is amazing…obviously there’s no close encounters with them, but they’re a delight to see!
Food & Drink
There’s a couple of places to eat at the zoo.
An ice cream and crepe shop, then a cafe serving pre made sandwiches and a larger area serving a larger range of food.
We tried some pizzas, it came to around £60 for 2 adults, 2 children with pizzas and drinks between us which I didn’t think was too bad. The pizza was lovely too.
There are also plenty of picnic areas scattered around so this is a great way to save money.
Money-Saving Tip
Take a picnic to save spending on food for the day! The picnic area near the main cafe has high chairs outside too so isn’t a struggle with a baby.

The zoo is spotlessly clean, there’s always bits of maintenance going on and the animals look well looked after.

Never been too crowded, the penguin area can sometimes be busy, but there’s always space to see them.
Full day of fun that keeps the whole family occupied all day.
Really well priced, almost half of what it costs us at another local zoo
The Final Verdict:
This has quickly become our favourite zoo, it’s much less commercial than others and has a really personal feel about it. It has free parking and although is a bit farther away from our house than other zoos I’d much rather travel knowing we’ll have a great day come rain or shine.
