Our first impressions of Mablethorpe Beach were really positive. It’s a beautiful, clean beach with miles of golden sand, giving everyone plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the day. It wasn’t too busy when we visited, which made it feel really peaceful. We also loved that dogs are allowed on the beach, as we had our dog with us, so the whole family could enjoy our day by the sea together.
There aren’t loads of attractions at Mablethorpe Beach, but that’s part of its charm. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing day by the sea. We spent our time walking along the beach, enjoying the views and letting our dog have a run on the sand. There was also a nearby fish and chip shop, which was ideal for grabbing some lunch after spending a few hours on the beach.
Food and drink options at Mablethorpe Beach were quite limited. There were a couple of places nearby, but the main option was the fish and chip shop, which was perfect for a traditional seaside lunch. If you’re planning to spend the whole day there, it might be worth taking your own snacks and drinks with you.
It is a long way to go for a day so we ended up staying over night as it’s a 2.5 hour drive so I would say to book into somewhere to stay so you can really enjoy the beach & views around.
The cleanliness of the beach was fantastic.
There was no rides or activities for children to enjoy.
Other than a fish and chip shop there was not many places to get anything else you may have wanted.
There was not many people there and the beach is big enough for many of people to enjoy.
It is lovely to spend a day there building sandcastles but you defiantly need to bring your own fun with you.
I would say the value for money was okay as we had no other places we could spend money.
Mablethorpe is a really lovely beach and we would definitely go again but maybe for a weekend instead of a day. I would say to take your own toys with you so you can have fun on the beach and your own food. If you did want a beach with more activity for children I would go to Skegness.
