Our Arrival & First Impressions
The entrance is very grand and straight away my toddler was excited to explore! You walk in to find a coffee shop, Lego shop and sweet shop. Down the hill towards the park there are play structures and slides to engage the children instead of having to walk down the steps which was a really nice touch.
Activities Breakdown
We had an amazing day at Legoland! It was really quiet as we went midweek and there was still that much to do that we spent the whole day there! Even my 10 month-old could go on lots of the rides which meant he wasn’t just in his pram observing all day and we could enjoy the rides as a family.
As well as the rides there are lots of areas to play, including a huge room full of Lego to build and the duplo playground that my 3 year old loved! There are 2 splash parks here as well although they were closed for refurbishment on our visit.
The park is huge, meaning a pram is needed for children under 3. One negative we found with having the pram was the initial entrance has lots of steps and slides down to the main park, this was amazing to entertain older children but the path to take with prams/wheelchairs was very windy, meaning it took us significantly longer to walk to the rides than others.
There are lots of different Lego builds to find around the park, including rabbits and squirrels hidden in the woodland areas which my little one loved finding!

Fire academy ride
This was an amazing ride where children can play fire fighters and save Lego city from fire! My toddler loved this, although it was hard work for my mum who had to pump the water and fire engine as he was too small.

Duplo airport
Children can control their own helicopter by making it go up, down and spin around.

Laser raiders ride
Both of my children loved the laser raiders ride! My 3 year old loved trying to shoot at the targets with his very own gun and my 10 month old loved the lights and animatronics in the ride.
Food & Drink
We had a late lunch at the park, the food was nice and prices were as expected for a theme park. There are plenty of food choices around the park. We ate at pirate’s burger kitchen. The kids meal seemed to fill my toddler but the adult meals were a bit small. We spent just over £30 for 2 adult meals (without drinks) and a child’s meal with a small apple juice.
One huge benefit for coffee lovers is that the park serves Costa coffee at various places throughout and it is reasonably priced (I paid £5 for a regular caramel latte). One negative I found with this was that ice coffee drinks are only served at a few specific coffee stalls so if it’s a warm day and you want an ice latte you’ll have to search for a place that sells them.
Money-Saving Tip
Having a big breakfast keeps the little ones go longer before stopping for lunch so you only have to buy one meal here.
Pros & Cons Summary
What We Loved
We loved the amount of rides suitable for over 90cm and the amount that our baby could enjoy with his older brother- There are multiple areas to take a break from the rides and play
- There is absolutely something for everyone here!
- They had some lovely pop-up activities to celebrate the World Cup which was a nice addition for football lovers
Could Be Better
Wheelchair and pushchair accessibility routes from ‘the beginning’ to the main park are a bit long and winding, which if you are entering for opening time may mean the queue times are longer when you get to the rides taking these routes.
Overall Verdict & Ratings
The park feels very safe and was extremely clean. They had staff tidying up the gardens in different areas whilst we were there.
There is so much choice here and there wasn’t much at all my 3 year old couldn’t go on so he didn’t feel like he was missing out on much throughout the day.
Adult portions were a bit small (and meals didn't include a drink). But there were lots of choices to eat/drink throughout the park.
We went midweek and the queues were all really reasonable. The longest we waited was 20 minutes for fire academy.
We all had an amazing day!
The park is huge with lots to do for everyone! Under 90cm are free which definitely helps with the cost if you have younger ones. There are always discounts and deals around so keep an eye out for these!
