Our Arrival & First Impressions

Very excited to have arrived!

After a long journey, we all were very excited to see the entrance to LEGOLAND. It was our first time visiting so wasn’t sure what to expect.

Activities Breakdown

Lazy river style ride
Fairytale themed Lego ride

When we arrived, I really hoped there was enough activities for my 1 year old to do, as it’s difficult to find things to suit both children! Walking down to the park, there were steps and ramps for the parents to walk down, and a series of slides to make it more fun for the children to go down.

To say we had fun was an understatement. There is so much to do for all ages! We loved the lazy river ride, the fairy tale ride (great for young children) and the submarine experience.

My 5 year old absolutely loved the driving range, we had this included in the birthday package which we added onto our one night stay.

I did think the cues were a bit lengthy but to see his little face at the end was definitely worth it.

Miniland was great, very interesting for adults and lots of interactive elements to add fun for children. Great to let the little ones roam around this area without the worry of them going too far or hurting themselves.

I was actually surprised at how many rides our 1 year old was able to go on!

The day we went, the weather was great but very very hot. We found it hard to find shade and there were limited places to get drinks and snacks.

  1. 1

    Submarine experience

The long cue was worth every minute. Having a little one who is so inquisitive, this was a great experience. There was a long chair inside the submarine but space for children to walk around it. We were able to see so many different under the sea creatures🐠🐟🦈

  2. 2

    Tour via train

It was great to sit on the train and see lots of different Lego figures. Great for little children, shouting out each time they see a new animal. It did make us jump when we were sprayed with water! Top tip, sit on the right side if you want to avoid the spray💦

    Exploring miniland

Such a great area for all ages. So much detail has been added here. There are interactive games which can be paid for, dotted around the areas. We paid for the boys to steer one of the mini Lego boats around miniland. They loved it!

    Build and play area🧱

There was an area where you could build your own car and test it out. Our little one tried to get involved while his 5 year old brother got stuck in with his dad. It was quite challenging here as being so young, he played nicely at first and then began trying to climb on the ramps, I think he thought they were slides. Although they counted the amount of people into this area, I did think it was way too busy!

Food & Drink

Due to being so focused on the boys, we didn’t really make a note of places to eat. I packed a picnic for us all. But dad went to a burger place mid afternoon as wanted something better to eat.

Money-Saving Tip

Take a picnic with you! There are lots of areas where you can eat your own food. Benches, grass areas.
