Our Arrival & First Impressions

Excited to climb

It was a lot bigger than it looks! There are so many courses to climb all based on your age and height.

The car park itself you do have to pay for and Blue badge users have to pay too. There is a closer carpark to the main park than the first one you come to on your left.

Activities Breakdown

High ropes was a super fun activity
Large childrens play area

A short walk from the car park there is a large childrens play area that has activities for all ages from baby swings to large climbing equipment and an assault course. There is also a sand area you can take your own buckets and spades for.

    The Dino park

There is a part of Irchester Country park that is designated as a Dino walk. This area has large dino eggs big enough for children to hide inside, a 3 part dino skeleton made up of a skull, ribcage and a tail. All of which can be climbed on. This is here because many years ago some dinosaur bones were actually found within the park! We like exploring the area and pretending to see if we can see any more bones or fossils.

    Play park

Ircester country park also has a large play park built for all ages. From climbing frames to slides, swings to a sea saw. Pretty much all made from good quality, long lasting wood.

Overall Verdict & Ratings

A Tried & Tested - Day Out With The Kids
Safety & Cleanliness4.0

The park is well maintened and paths are kept clean and tidy.

Rides & Entertainment4.0

The Jungle Parc is such a lovely part of Irchester Country park and for a 90 minute session its very good price wise.

Food & Drink4.0

The food and menu looked good but we didnt test the cafe out.

Queues & Crowds4.0

We went quite early in the day and the car park was quiet but as we left it was getting rather busy and less parking spaces. They do have an overflow car park that was being used to help this.

Fun & Delight5.0

We had a lovely time visiting all aread of the Country Park.

Value for Money3.0

You pay for parking all day (12hrs) and you can be as long as you want there. The Jungle Parc was amazing and would say this was a fab price for the time we got climbing - tip go on the early slots as we almost got the whole place to oirselves.

The Final Verdict:

I would reccomend Irchester country park to friends and family, suggesting to take a picnic and some comfy shoes for walking and climbing.
