Activities Breakdown

Petting Rabbits
Rides

Folly Farm has so much more to offer than just seeing animals. During our visit we explored the Zoo, met a wide variety of animals, enjoyed the vintage fairground rides, spent time in the huge indoor and outdoor play areas and had fun on the land train. There were plenty of hands-on experiences, including petting the rabbits and everything was well spread out so it never felt overcrowded. We easily spent a fill day here without running out of things to do, making it excellent value for families.

  1. 1

    The variety of animals

We loved the huge variety of animals at Folly Farm. From farm animals to exotic species, there was something new to discover around every corner.

Food & Drink

We took our own picnic, which helped keep the cost down and there were plenty of places to sit and eat. We also treated ourselves to ice-cream from the kiosk by the play area and I also had an iced coffee from the coffee shop, which was really nice. There were several food and drink outlets around the park, giving families plenty of choice whether you bring your own food or buy something on site.

Money-Saving Tip

Bring a picnic to save money on lunch. There are plenty of picnic areas throughout the park, so you can enjoy your own food and just treat yourself to an ice-crea, or coffee during the day.

Overall Verdict & Ratings

A* Tried & Tested - Day Out With The Kids
Safety & Cleanliness5.0

The park was clean, well maintained and felt very safe

Rides & Entertainment4.0

There was plenty to keep us entertained, with rides and play areas. Some rides require additional tokens which can bump up the cost of the trip overall.

Food & Drink4.0

Good choice of food and drink outlets. Prices are on the expensive side, but there were plenty of picnic areas if you want to bring your own food.

Queues & Crowds5.0

Even during our visit, the park never felt overcrowded. We didn't experience long queues, which made for a much more relaxed and enjoyable day.

Fun & Delight5.0

We have a brilliant day from start to finish. There was so much for our 4 year old (and us) to see and do. We loved it.

Value for Money4.0

Admission offers good value considering how much is included and how easy it is to spend a full day at the park. Extra costs such as ride tokens, food and the gift shop can add up, but brining a picnic or sticking to a budget for the shops can keep the overall cost down.

The Final Verdict:

We had a fantastic day at Folly Farm and would happily recommend it to family and friends. There is so much to see and do, from the wide variety of animals to the play areas and rides, making it easy to spend a full day here. We loved that it never felt too busy, so we could explore at our own pace. While some rides require additional tokens and the food and gift shop can be expensive, bringing a picnic is an easy way to keep costs down. Overall, it is a brilliant family attraction and we'd definitely visit again.
