Every animatronic has robotic moving parts: heads turning, jaws snapping open, tails swishing, and eyes blinking. The sound effects are brilliant too!
What makes it different from a standard attraction? It’s the combination of genuine wow-factor and real learning. Each dinosaur installation comes with an educational information panel packed with fascinating facts. So yes, your kids will absolutely learn the difference between a Protoceratops and a Plesiosaurus by the end of it. We promise they’ll enjoy it more than any classroom lesson!

Opening Hours
When the event was running in 2025, the box office opened from 10:00am to 6:00pm daily. Last entry was at 5:15pm and the event closed at 7:00pm. We’d expect similar hours if the tour returns, but always check thelostkingdom.uk for the latest confirmed times before you visit.
How Long Does It Take?
Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours for the full experience. That gives you plenty of time to walk the trail, explore the fossil dig pit, pop into the VR pods, and grab some food from the street food stalls without feeling rushed.
Our tip: Weekday slots tend to be quieter. When booking opens, don’t hang around. The 2025 Glasgow run sold out fast and on-the-day availability was not guaranteed.
