Have you heard of the viral Hello Kitty Cafe at the Cute Exhibition in London? It’s been taking the internet by storm and we just had to visit it! Here’s our review of the cutest trending cafe – The Hello Kitty Cafe!

Cute Exhibition

The Cute Exhibition is London’s cutest exhibition (ever!). It takes you into a world of sweetness, cuteness and all things kawaii as you celebrate cute culture and the cute aesthetic!

And it wouldn’t be a cute exhibition without the Queen of Cute herself, Hello Kitty. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty, the Cute Exhibition has featured a bunch of Hello Kitty merch, one-off limited edition items, and lots of Hello Kitty plushies. Plus there’s even a Hello Kitty Disco complete with a glitter ball.

What is the Hello Kitty Cafe?

The Cute Exhibition features a Hello Kitty cafe presented by ARTBOX (the perfect destination for all things cute and Japanese culture). The Hello Kitty cafe is inspired by kawaii-themed cafe culture in Japan, where everything is elevated by cuteness and way more fun!

While the exhibition is running, you can find themed hot and cold drinks, wraps, bagels, sandwiches, cute cakes, and more artisanal desserts, all starring Sanrio’s cute character, Hello Kitty. Get ready for Hello Kitty coffee art and the cutest dining experience!

What We Thought Of The Cafe

So, a few of us went to visit the adorable cafe in Somerset House and here’s what we thought.

The Decor was cute and they had a Hello Kitty Sculpture where lots of people took selfies next to. The coffee was just okay but it looked great with a Hello Kitty on top in Cinnamon! 

The coasters on the table were also so cute and a really good memento. We didn’t eat but the bagels looked so cute with a little bow on top! 

There was some shared seating at the long tables and some smaller tables with lots of seating. Even though there was a sign outside of the cafe that said that the queue would take 45 minutes, we got in much quicker than that. You can’t see into the cafe from the queue so it really is a cute surprise once you get in!

So The Real Question Is, Is It Worth It? 

Well, that depends, for avid Hello Kitty Fans – we’d say absolutely, it’s a must see cafe! It’s the perfect novelty cafe for you to indulge in all things Hello Kitty from cute snacks to the adorable design (not to mention to get some aesthetic Instagram pictures!).
