RHS Garden Bridgewater

RHS Bridgewater is host to various gardens and attractions. From the vibrant Worsley Welcome Garden, The Kitchen Garden to The Chinese Stream Garden. These are only a select few because you’re lucky to explore much more – like the Orchard Gardens where you can learn all about the importance of bees!

But, in the heart of Middle Wood, you’ll find Woodland Play with acres of adventurous opportunities. Try a low rope course among the sycamores, a hide-and-seek trail around massive beech trees, to clambering in spider-web nets, basket swings, climbing frames and den building!

Let your imagination run wild with magical Hobbit Houses, mud kitchens and fairy homes. And at the Yew Circle, there’s a spot for outdoor performances, storytelling, dressing up and playing music.

Your kids will have so much to do, they certainly won’t get bored here!

RHS Garden Wisley

If you love the bright and beautiful, The Wildlife Garden and The World Food Garden should be right up your street! From two large pools, a low bridge and dreamy wildlife, to building a home for all bugs – The Wildlife Garden is a pretty cool garden that just gives more and more. With naturistic sculptures, and feathered friends in the bird hide, you’ll discover so many fascinating things here.

Explore ‘Jurassic Corner’ and Theresa the T-rex in the Stumpery and the Dell on Battleston Hill. Don’t forget to visit The Walled Gardens, which showcases many creative effects you can make with foliage plants. It’s perfect for autumn displays, ethereal in the winter and when flowers bloom in spring.

Search for Wisley’s tallest tree in the Pinetum, which is incredible to look at all year round. Look out for the sculptures! Can you find the bear, hippo, giant horse head and frog? Gaze at the largest heather collections in the UK in Howard’s Field and discover the ornamental Grass Garden too!

Then wind your way up the Viewing Mount and see the garden from a different view.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr

Want to visit a garden that is beautiful but also has an open space to run off your excess energy and explore the natural play features? You’ve found it at RHS Harlow Carr!

Find the Logness Monster and Craggle Top Tree Housein the woodland and explore our new playground, The Spiders Nest, complete with slides, swings, climbing frames and tunnels!

Higgledy Hyde wooden tower lookout point at Hyde Hall RHS Gardens

RHS Garden Hyde Hall

Nestled amongst the trees is Higgledy Hyde, a large wooden tower with a 7m high lookout point. As well as balancing beams, a seesaw, a slide and climbing bars that your kids can explore and have fun in! It’s also helping get kids into gardening – which is super important and helpful to understand life through plants!

For something super interesting and different to an English Garden, check out the Australia and New Zealand Garden. With wildlife that is native to Australasia that has defied all odds and grown surprisingly well right here in the UK!

RHS Garden Rosemoor

Here you’ll find The Brash which is their natural play area set in pine woodland with living willow structures, a sand pit, slide, bug magnifiers, stepping logs and climbing frames. With a wide space to explore and have fun in, your kids can burn off some energy while experiencing the benefits of nature.

In the Copse find a “Green Ship” inspired by Quentin Blake, plus a see-saw, a spiro-giro, stepping logs and living willow sculptures. Or, try your hand (and feet) at the climbing wall!

Nature is so important to this ever-changing world. And it’s vital that we should all learn and understand the importance of gardening, planting bee-friendly flowers and being more environmentally conscious (but also still have plenty of fun!). It’s the perfect family day out!

  • Car parking is free at all the RHS gardens
  • Baby changing facilities are provided in all toilet areas.
  • Pushchair and wheelchair-accessible routes are marked on garden maps.
  • Water fountains to refill bottles are located at various points in the gardens.
  • Please do not bring garden toys, such as scooters and balls into the gardens
