Pumpkin Picking at Clyde Valley Family Park

A free pumpkin for every visiting child is the shortest way to describe what Clyde Valley does in October. The Pumpkin Festival is folded into the normal park ticket, with nothing extra to pay at the patch, which makes the arithmetic of a family day out unusually simple.

Once children have chosen a pumpkin there is a carving area to put it to use, and the rest of the park is dressed for the season with themed music and photo spots. New for 2026 is a haunted house, and there is a fancy dress contest and a Halloween hunt running through the festival as well.

Underneath the Halloween layer this is a farm-themed park in South Lanarkshire, with sheep, goats and pigs to meet, so a visit tends to fill a good part of the day rather than an hour of it.
