Pumpkin Picking at Cefn Mably Farm Park

The pumpkin patch is included with admission rather than sold as an extra, which puts Cefn Mably in a different bracket from farms that charge at the gate and again for the field. It runs outdoors from 3 to 31 October, with an Autumn Quiz alongside it over the same period.

Admission covers a good deal more than the patch: the farm park itself, the animals, the outdoor play areas and the indoor soft play. That mix is why families tend to stay for several hours rather than picking a pumpkin and driving home. The on-site cafe serves hot and cold food, and picnics are welcome in the designated outdoor areas.

A few things are charged on top. Train rides, diggers, crazy golf and animal feed are all paid extras. Admission prices themselves vary by date and are shown at the point of booking.

Booking online in advance is strongly recommended, because weekend and school-holiday sessions often sell out. Watch the last admission time as well: it is 4pm ordinarily, but 3.30pm at weekends and during school holidays, which is exactly when most families want to come. Parking on site is free, and only guide dogs are permitted.
