About Cobh Cathedral
The St Colman's at Cobh Cathedral offers grand territory for worship or exploration, with ancient artwork and features of interest for all ages. It's a mysterious feeling and atmospheric environment that kids generally really enjoy. And you needn't be of any particular denomination to enjoy the fabulous architecture and artistic features that are here to be discovered.
Visitors are welcome around the hours of mass. The Diocese values and encourages the participation of children and young people in all parish liturgies and and in all activities so the kids are more than welcome so long as they're being at least moderately respectful!
This is a relatively self propelled exploration, with less of the major clues of tourism than the more major cathedrals have. However it's particularly pleasant with younger children and those who find the quiet and milieu intimidating as a practice run for larger scale worship. It's also a charming building in it's own right, of course!
