Where and Where the  Windsor Light Trail is

You’ll find the enchanting light trail open from the 17th November 2022 to 2nd January 2023. You better get ready for your nights to be truly dazzling!

At the beautiful woodland near Windsor Great Park’s Savill Garden and Obelisk Pond, is where you’ll find the Windsor Great Park Illuminated Trail.

It’ll run every day from 16:30 – 22:30. Last entry will be at 20:30!

About the Windsor Wonderland Light Trail

Feast your eyes on this very special light trial that is set to blow you away. It’ll truly be a magical evening with family that will kick off the excitement for the festive season.

This year, the Windsor light trail returns bigger and brighter than ever. With a brand-new trail design, re-imagined installations and dazzling displays. Perfect for creating long-lasting and cherishing memories with the family. From a fairy disco, firefly forest, glow trees and a tunnel of light, to a magic castle, infinity cubes, dreaming tree and a festive village!

You and the family will explore the stunning woodland that’s alight with dancing lights, sparkles of fireflies, breathtaking projections and luminous beacons. As you pass the peaceful lake, you’ll find fantastical flood-lit fountains, glimmering reflections on the water’s surface and light installations creating colour-changing lakeside reflections.

You’ll be truly immersed in the festive atmosphere as you walk along the dazzling lights and dreamlike laser displays, as you wander through the ancient woodland. The kids will also be taken back on this enchanting experience with its interactive installations and on the impressive, awe-inspiring trail!

Not only is there an incredible illuminated trail, but you’ll also find yourself having bounds of fun with traditional fairground rides at the funfair!

There’s fun for all ages, from the fabulous Helter Skelter, spin-tastic carousel and more in the Festive Village – it’ll truly bring smiles to everyone’s faces!

Then pop along to the Mistletop Tipi Bar to browse the beautiful children’s decorations. Did you know that local schoolchildren designed them? Making all these decorations extra special!

The light trail starts from the 17th November 2022 to the 2nd January 2023. Opening from 16:30 – 22:30.

Adult tickets are from £19.25
Child tickets are from £11.00

How long does it take to walk the complete trail?

The trail is 2.2km long, so it may take an approximate amount of 1.5-2 hours to complete.

Will the trail be covered?

The trail is outdoors, so please dress accordingly.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are allowed on the light trail but must be kept on leads and controlled at all times.

Is there food and drink?

Yes! There’s plenty of grub for you to indulge in. There will be no hungry bellies here!

Are there any Blue Badge parking spots available?

Yes, but it will need to be selected when you purchase tickets. Then you’ll be sent a form to fill in with your Blue Badge number.
