What is The Smurfs Great Escape?

It’s a brand-new outdoor scavenger hunt set up by CluedUpp Games – providing you with an unforgettable family experience! Join with your family, friends or even your pawesome pooch on this adventure.

This amazing event is unique as it’s an escape room but…outdoors!  It’s a team event that uses a digital app for its scavenger hunt. Explore the city streets, dressed up in blue and white as you and the family hunt for puzzles and quests on this exciting adventure!

The aim of the game? To help the Smurfs get home! The evil wizard Gargamel tried to catch our small, blue friends with his new fiendish contraption – The Worminator – and sent the Smurfs crashing to Earth. It’s up to you and your fantastic team to help Papa Smurf and the family back to the Smurf Village.

Because of cool technology, the app has really neat augmented reality filters, so you can turn into your favourite Smurf characters! Don’t forget to snap a Smurf selfie along the way!

It’s an interactive experience like no other, that is happening in hundreds of cities across the world. Perfect for families to team up against Gargamel and get involved in all things blue!

How Does The Smurfs Great Escape Experience Work?

This super exciting team event requires a team of 2-6 players to go on a hunt with puzzles to solve quests and challenges in an outdoor adventure like no other!

The team ticket only costs £30.00! And you only have to buy one ticket for the whole team. The best part is…kids under 16 go FREE!

2 weeks prior to your event, you’ll receive information on where your starting point will be – most likely in a central location! You can start at any time from 09:00 and the experience generally lasts between 2-3 hours. But if you want to be included in the prizes, you’ll need to finish by 17:00!

What Are The Prizes?

So, you can’t take part in an extremely fun event without winning anything, right? Well, this time you’re in luck and there are a number of prizes to be won, but you have to dress the part!

The prizes are awarded for the following categories:

  1. Fastest team
  2. Best Fancy Dress (Smurf themed)
  3. Best Team Picture
  4. Best Team Name
  5. Best Mini Player (under 16)
  6. Pawesome Pooch (best dog photo)

The earliest date is from 11th February 2023 in Northern Ireland. But they’re all across the UK right up until the end of May 2023.

How much does it cost?

A team ticket costs £30.00. You only need to buy one and under 16s go free!

Where does it start?

2 weeks before your event you’ll be sent info on where the starting point is. But it’s usually in an easy location to find in the city.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! It’s encouraged especially since there’s a prize for the best dog photo!
