What happens at Sleeping With Sharks?
The Sleeping with Sharks experience is designed for children aged 5-12 years old. Children and their parents can enjoy a unique experience together staying overnight at the National Aquarium. You’ll get to explore the aquarium at night and discover fascinating insights from the National Aquarium team about the marine life you are watching.
Sleeping with Sharks event schedule:
- Arrival after teatime around 6.30pm where you will receive an introduction into your overnight stay.
- Take a twilight tour of the aquarium and see what happens to the fish at bedtime!
- Watch a movie near the marine exhibits and take part in games.
- Settle in to your space for the evening in front of the Eddystone Reef tank that contains many different aquatic creatures such as sharks, crabs and lobsters.
- In the morning breakfast is provided at The Wave Cafe and departure is between 8.30am-9am.
What do I need to bring with me to Sleeping With The Sharks?
The National Aquarium Plymouth recommend you bring the following items to ensure you enjoy your overnight stay.
Items to bring to Sleeping with Sharks:
- Something to sleep in but not pyjamas in case you need to get up during the night.
- A sleeping bag, pillow and roll mat or air bed.
- Money as the gift shop can be opening during the evening on special request.
