September Events And Things To Do

If you can’t quite believe it’s September already, join the club! As we start to count down the days until Halloween (and dare we say it, Christmas!), we’re also looking at great things to do in September for families! From adorable baby animals to paddle-boarding, and even a giant moon, we’ve got our list of the top 15 things to do this September.

  1. West Midland Safari Park, West Midlands

    Come rain or shine, West Midland Safari Park is the place to be this September! Come along and journey through the drive through and see your favourite animals up close and personal.   3. Moon on Tour, various locations
    Looking for a day out of this world? How about a trip to see the moon? The Museum of the Moon features an incredible moon sculpture, and it’s currently on tour across the UK! You can see the Moon at Longleat Safari Park until 12th September, or in Durham Cathedral from the 13th September 2021 too.

  4. Living History Weekend at Chepstow Castle, Wales
    11th – 12th September 2022
    Step back into the past at Chepstow Castle this September and go on an epic journey. Head back in time for over 900 years as a medieval enactment set up camp, so sit back and prepare for an epic show!

  5. Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow at IWM Duxford
    18th – 19th September 2022

  7. Medieval Falconry at Dover Castle, Kent
    11th – 12th September 2022
    Take your September days out to new heights with a spot of falconry at Dover Castle! Join the expert falconers and watch majestic hawks, owls and falcons take to the sky in an incredible display full of big ‘wow’ moments!

Pop on your best welly boots and set off on the exciting trail around Attingham Park to follow the clues and find out where the animals are having a party, plus you’ll even get some party goodies to wear as you go around… 
  13. See the baby orangutan at Chester Zoo 
    Get ready to say ‘aww’ and meet one of Chester Zoo’s newest arrivals, the adorable baby orangutan. These apes are critically endangered, and so the arrival of the new baby is very exciting, and you can see the adorable little one clinging to her mum! 
  14. The Great Worcester Maize Maze, Worcestershire
    Weekends in September 2022
    Enjoy some fresh air this September with a trip to The Great Worcester Maize Maze and get lost in the fields of corn! Journey on one of three trails and set off on a mission to find the quiz and solve the questions, and find your way out of the maze!

  15. Go Paddle-boarding, Norwich
    Make the most of the last few warmer days with a trip out paddle-boarding! Hire your own paddle-board and take to the water for a day filled with laughs, plus you could even hire one giant paddle board that can fit up to 6 people!
