Padley Gorge

The Padley Gorge trail takes you on a three-mile long hike through the spectacular woodland and meadows of The National Trust’s Longshaw Estate.

Along the way you’ll pass Padley Gorge, a small, pretty waterfall where the water flows over the rocks of Burbage Brook. A peaceful spot which is an ideal place to take a break on your Peak Distract walk.

Kinder Downfall waterfall Peak District

Kinder Downfall is an impressive waterfall cascading from a height of 30 metres and is surrounded by scenic views of the Peak District countryside. Nearby attractions include the Kinder Reservoir and  Kinder Scout, a national nature reserve in the Dark Peak area.

You can take a circular route walking around the reservoir or why not take on the challenge of the Jacob’s Ladder walk? A popular spot for hikers and ramblers it involves a steep climb bringing you to the summit of Kinder Low mountain.

It is worth noting that when visiting to see Kinder Downfall avoid Summer months when the river is prone to drying up.

Middle Black Clough Waterfall Peak District

A beautiful waterfall trail you can do in the Peak District. Here you will find an impressive 10-metre waterfall! One way to see Middle Black Clough waterfall is via a short two- mile walk which involves rugged landscape and water. Ideal if you want to add a bit of adventure on your hike. As the walk crosses water you need to take some time to be prepared for this walk and wear the correct clothes. Therefore, it’s a good idea to bring some wet weather gear and wellies.

The waterfall can also be located via a few different walks just off the main road (A628). In addition to the shorter waterfall trail mentioned above if you don’t fancy crossing water you can take a longer route passing through the many natural wonders of the Peak District National Park.

Yorkshire Dales National Park

Pecca Falls

Pecca Falls Yorkshire Dales

Spectacular views await you on the Ingleton Falls walking trail to Pecca Falls. One of the loveliest walks in the Yorkshire Dales. A 4- mile route starts in the car park in Ingleton and follows the River Twiss. Then, you pass through ancient woodlands and cross the the river at Manor Bridge before arriving at Pecca Falls.

These awesome waterfalls plunge over sandstone rock and are the perfect spot to stop and take a moment to appreciate the outdoors and nature. The walk does involve some climbing so make sure your fitness levels are good before setting off.
