Summer is right around the corner, which means it’s the best time to visit a fruit-picking farm, where the fruit is juicy, ripe and ready to be taken home!

Kenyon Hall Farm’s season tends to start in early June and it’s where you’ll find juicy strawberries in their strawberry fields. But that’s not all you’ll find! From raspberries and onions to broad beans, corn on the cob and 14 other varieties of fruit and veg!

You’ll have to book your strawberry picking slot and you can pick your entry time! Usually, people tend to spend around 60 minutes fruit picking before heading to the farm shop, plant centre or even the play area!

There is a toilet on site, as well as a baby-changing facility and hand-washing stations.

Woore Fruit Farm, Crewe

If you’re willing to travel further afield up north, you can head to Woore Fruit Farm for your fruit picking. Their fruit picking season generally opens from late May to the end of October where you’ll find all sorts of fruits and veg to pick. From strawberries and raspberries to the all-important pumpkins for Halloween!

It’s a brilliant experience for kids who will keep wanting to come back for more – because who doesn’t like picking the best and juiciest strawberries? Don’t forget to pick your apples too – they’ll make a lovely apple crumble or even apple pie!

Scaddows Farm, Derby

Enjoy a bank holiday weekend or even just a day out at this family-owned farm. Did you know it’s been running for the last 30 years?! They definitely know their stuff!

No matter the weather, rain or shine, they open up every season for eager fruit pickers. Producing sweet and juicy soft fruit, including strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and gooseberries!

They’ll be opening up for the 2024 season in late June – so book some time to come visit. You can also treat yourself to some fresh ice cream at the farm shop!

Unfortunately, dogs aren’t allowed on fruit farms – so please keep them at home.

Willows Farm, Lincolnshire

If you’re eager for a big road trip, we suggest this superb strawberry-picking farm up north Willows Farm! With yummy strawberries growing in acres of strawberry fields, you know it’s the place to be.

This Lincolnshire PYO treasure is great for those of you who’d like to stay on the farm overnight. If you wish you could stay longer here, there’s camping on-site! Talk about making it a weekend-long activity.

They grow all sorts of varieties of strawberries, as well as raspberries, red, black AND white currants, tayberries, blackberries, gooseberries and so much more! Wowee…

Stop off at the farm shop for more local and tasty produce and then enjoy a few treats too.

The best part…is that the fruit picking is table-top! So, no need for bending and its wheelchair friendly!
