Before you smash
Most venues ask you to book in advance online. When you arrive, you’ll get a safety briefing (usually 5-10 minutes) covering the rules: no throwing objects at people, no bringing your own power tools, and always wear your protective gear. Staff are on hand throughout.
What you wear
Every venue provides full PPE. This typically includes:
- Full-body overalls or a protective suit
- Gloves
- A full-face helmet or visor and goggles
- Steel-toe-capped boots (some venues provide these; others ask you to bring your own closed-toe shoes)
The one thing you need to bring yourself: closed-toe shoes. No trainers with mesh panels, no sandals, no open-toed footwear of any kind. Most venues will turn you away at the door without them.
What you smash
Venues stock a mix of smashables depending on what they can source. Expect a combination of:
