This is a very special event with real historical significance for the GCR. The ‘Mind The Gap’ Reunification Weekend is held in partnership with the Great Central Railway Nottingham (GCRN), and gives visitors a glimpse of what a fully reunified Great Central Railway could look like, stretching 18 miles from the north of Leicester all the way to the south of Nottingham.

  • A Heritage Rail Replacement Bus Service connecting both railways
  • Insight into the ongoing Reunification Project, which aims to reconnect the two heritage lines
