Blackpool Illuminations and Lightpool Festival

Every autumn and winter, 6 miles of Blackpool are illuminated with traditional festoons, tableaux and interactive features that brighten up the night sky. All the way until the Promenade! It’s quite literally known as the greatest free light show around. 

This year, you’ll find them from 1st September 2023 to 1st January 2024. 

Gaze your eyes upon incredible Blackpool Tower projections, and illuminated tram tours that will take you along the world-famous Blackpool Tramway! 

But that’s not all… Along the tramway, you’ll discover the Tableaux Tour. Fascinating, unique and truly wonderful displays that are truly big and bright! And you can walk right along them. 

They include a wide range of themes, from hula dancers and a giant pirate ship to ballerinas from Swan Lake and an entire Egyptian scene. It really is an amazing family fun evening out! They even have Noddy for the kids with all their favourite characters including Big Ears, Martha Monkey and of course, Noddy himself.

With special effects, and light illuminations that attract people from all over, it’s no wonder why it’s a major attraction!

An award-winning popular attraction that runs for nine nights! Think, mesmerising light-based art installations, 3D projection shows, live performances and lots of family-friendly activities!

Light Art

Outdoor spaces will be transformed into an artistic playground and Blackpool’s iconic buildings will light up with spectacular light art! It’s truly iconic and a bucket list festival everyone needs on their list.

Tower Projections
