Top Activities for the Glasgow School Holidays
Next on the agenda is deciding what to do. A great way to start would be on our ‘Things to do in Glasgow’ page where you can explore all sorts of days out that would be perfect for filling the Glasgow school holidays! If you’re looking for restaurants to go to for an evening treat, we have the very best for you in Glasgow!
To get you going, here are some of our top activities in Glasgow. Simply take your pick!
- It gets rather cold north of the border so a dip in a heated pool is always a good idea, especially an indoor one. During the school holidays, any one of the swimming pools in Glasgow could be a good shout for a family outing, as well as being the best way to burn off all that excess energy. Here’s hoping they have the floaties out!
- There is a brilliant selection of museums in Glasgow, ones which are suited to all sorts of personalities. Footy fans will head straight to the Scottish Football Museum where the world’s oldest international match ticket is held, while little luvvies will find plenty of oddities to examine in the Mask and Puppet Centre. See where your brood leads you.
- Bowling in Glasgow is a great way for the whole family to get involved, with the sides up or down, and with a ramp lying in wait in the wings – or at least that’s how we play it! This classic game has been a family favourite for generations and with good reason – just be sure to put a funny name on the leaderboard.
- Pretty much all creatures, great and small, can be found in one of the zoos in Glasgow. It’s worth taking a trip to Amazonia, for a deep dive into the jungle! You’ll find nocturnal beasts and an interactive gaming experience, while World of Wings shows the best of the beaked community! See which creatures your tribe can name on a dive into the wild.
- As well as being masses of fun, trampoline parks in Glasgow are a great way to burn off energy and get fit! In fact, if you’ve got kids who are always glued to their screens, an afternoon bouncing all over the place will be an easy method for getting them out of the door! Throw in a springy dodgeball court and that’s the day sorted.
