The Nelson Museum is a Grade II listed Georgian merchant's house in Great Yarmouth where you can discover more about Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson and the times in which he lived.
Explore Nelson's childhood in Norfolk, his career, famous battles and tragic, heroic death.
Find out more about his mesmerising personality, his terrible wounds and his many illnesses, not to mention his complicated love life! Discover Life Below Decks, play ship's games or simply relax in the picnic area of the Maritime Courtyard and admire the new Georgian herb garden.
Avoid the rats and beware of the cannonfire in Below Decks, a recreation of a man-of-war. Try their hammock, play ship's games, examine cannons from Nelson's time or relax in the picnic area of the Maritime Courtyard.

We do strongly suggest you contact Nelson Museum before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.
