Flamingo Land Theme Park, Zoo and Resort is 375 acres of wild family fun.
We have many white knuckle thrillers including Kumali, a suspended looping rollercoaster, and our new rollercoaster Hero, which puts riders in a superhero flying position before swooping them round a track. There is a great range of attractions and rides for younger children, 5 family shows and an extensive zoo, home to many rare and exotic species such as giraffes, rhinos, hippos and lions.
You can buy an Animal Encounter, and spend half an hour behind the scenes in the enclosure of a penguin, lemur, meerkat or giraffe: £20, pre booking recommended. Alternatively, be a Zookeeper For The Day (£175, pre booking required).
The zoo education team at Flamingo Land have been busy planning activities for 2015. Two of our projects are Keeper Academy for children aged 15 to 17 and a brand new Zoo Kids' Club for children aged 8 to 12, both of which are now running!
Flamingo Land also has a holiday village where you can hire log cabins, lodges or luxury static caravans. Alternatively bring your tent, tourer or motorhome. Holiday Village guests have exclusive use of the Leisure Centre, 9 hole golf course and entertainment Club.

It may be worth checking out Flamingo Land's website to see if there are any special events or seasonal fun things to do that may be going on during the day.
We do strongly suggest you contact Flamingo Land before you set off on your family day out, just to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices, as there is nothing worse than disappointed kids in the back of your car after a long journey.

If you've had fun on your family day out to Flamingo Land, tell us about your visit so other people will know it's a great place to go as well.Great Holiday Park, Fantastic Theme Park
We visited as a family recently and had a fantastic short break. The holiday village has all the facilities you need from your stay with entertainment for the kids and a pool, and the theme park is fantastic. We always book a caravan direct from the owner as we find the service exceptional. We found a great caravan from LowCostCaravans.com but have also used others in the past :) I can highly recommend this park, it really has something for everyone. And its located in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire!
