Learn about the history of Aberdeen and it’s wildlife at the Zoology Museum and Botanic Garden for free.
Hidden away in old Aberdeen lies a collection of whale bones, snake skins and ancient animal skulls. A vast stock that will excite mini-explorers, scientists and animal lovers alike. Get up and close with history and enjoy a day out that will entertain both child and parent. At the end of the trip both you and your child will be experts on protozoa, fluid-preserved specimens and even taxidermy!
You can also marvel at the stunning Scottish scenery at the Cruickshank Botanic Garden, or learn how to help your local wildlife thrive at the Aberdeen Biodiversity Centre. Treat your family to a free day out that’s both educational and fun. Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult as the exhibits are fragile and rare.
