They say if you’re not moving forward you’re just standing still, however at Yorkshire Sculpture Park that’s art.
On 500 acres of historic parkland sits 80 sculptures frozen in the open air. These modern and contemporary pieces of art have evolved since the park opened over 37 years ago.
The pieces look to combine art, heritage, learning, space and landscape and have contributed £5 million to the local economy, supporting the opening of five further indoor galleries.
The park hosts family events throughout the year, as well as an exciting programme of temporary exhibitions with the emphasis of sharing and encouraging interesting art that works with the natural environment. The shop also features lots of great children’s products to help to inspire budding artists of the future!
