Attraction Information
Wythenshawe Park is full of activities and features to keep your family happy for a full day out!
In the Horticultural Centre there are glorious ranges of plant life to be seen, especially in the Safari Walk that features tropical plants such as banana, pineapple, tea, coffee and rice! In between which are intriguing things to distract you, like pleasing water features, a stocked aviary, scenic alpine garden and a display of impressive cacti.
Also on site are an orienteering course, 10 football pitches (must be booked for use), a multi use games area, tennis courts and athletics track. The main pathways in the park are wheel and pushchair friendly so they're also smashing for tricking, cycling and scootering.
There's an accessible baby changing facility in the Stable Courtyard plus toilets at both the Stable block and the Horticultural Centre, so you never have to run too far with them! Plus you can get your caffeine fix at the Courtyard Cafe, which is open weekends only October to March and 7 days a week from April to the end of September. Great for supplementing your picnic!
They also have a nice little pitch and putt course but it must be noted that there are no hire facilities so you'd be taking your own clubs and balls: because of this however it's completely free to use! Bonus!
If you're going exploring there are 13 individual woodlands nestled side by side in the ground, so there's an enormous variety of tree types and mini beasts to spot! Perfect for a free range family adventure!
