Attraction Information

Are you ready for an adventure, one that spans continents, species and millions of years? West Midlands Safari Park has just the thing all wrapped up and raring to go! Grab your ride wristbands, find your favourite animal and most of all have an amazing experience!

West Midlands Safari Park's Animal Attractions

There are loads of animals to see here, and you'll have lots of opportunities to discover new animals and take some brilliant photos! Explore the African walk-through area and spot African elephants in an elephant valley, the magnificent lions, crane your necks to gaze at the elegant giraffes, and observe the impressive rhino as it grazes in its new environment! Discover the Red Panda Retreat and its new facility.

With new trees, climbing structures, nesting boxes and much more. These red pandas also have 24-hour access to their indoor enclosure too! They're more active during the early morning and evening (which is the perfect time for picture opportunities!).

VIP Experiences

Looking for something more special? You can also experience some VIP treatment and a VIP safari! From a minibus-guided Safari tour bus, a white lion cage feed, to a lemur & meerkat keeper for a day and plenty more! With the helpful staff on hand, you're sure to have a lovely time, as you spend time with playful lemurs and feed giraffes with boxes of food!

Do you have a warm place in your heart for all creatures nocturnal? In the dark, damp depths of the Twilight Cave families can uncover amazing animals like Rodrigues fruit bats and Seba's short-tailed bats. Did you see that?! The douroucouli (night monkey) just went by!

West Midlands Safari Park's Rides & Attractions

Load up your car with boxes of animal food and head to the Drive-Through Safari! Weave through animal enclosures spotting magnificent creatures like the Southern white rhino or the elegant giraffe in your safari cars.

Get up close to other exotic animals like the groovy zebras, prized Ankole cattle, Congo buffalos, the swamp-loving red lechwe and the eland - the largest of all antelope species. Explore the Wild Asia area with Indian rhinos, the Borderlands where you can spot the Bactrian camels and of course, the magnificent elephants. It's a safari drive like no other!

There is a huge list of rides that you and your family can enjoy. From the Congo Carousel, and The Desert Convoy to bigger thrills like the spinning Black Fly and the new virtual reality ride or keep it classic with minibus safari tours! Travel back in time 2.4 million years ago as you visit the Ice Age, or go back even further to the Land of Living Dinosaurs, and discover some prehistoric creatures. If you have kids that love dinosaurs, a trip to this exhibit makes for a dino-mite birthday...

After a run around their Adventure Theme Park - which boasts some stomach-dropping roller coasters - journey deep into the plains of Africa to count the stripes on a zebra, watch as white rhinos play or guess how many lazy lions are eyeing you up for their supper! Just don’t miss the fantastic opportunity to see the adorable red panda, Mei Lin too.

From here set out on the all-weather Discovery Trail. It features daily Sea Lion theatre shows, a rainbow of feathers at Lorikeet Landing and a healthy dose of the heebie-jeebies at Reptile World. Spot green anacondas and more exotic reptiles. That is before you find yourself lost in the Land of the Living Dinosaurs - the UK’s largest animatronic dinosaur attraction.

Enjoy daily talks at multiple animal enclosures around the park like Penguin Cove or daily Lemur talks! Observe the fascinating Humboldt penguins as they emerge from the water to “chill” on their beach. Attend public talks and learn about each unique creature at the park.

West Midlands Safari Park Lodges

Did you know you can stay in a variety of animal lodges where you can observe them from your own bed?! You can choose from either the elephant, tiger, giraffe, red panda, cheetah or rhino lodges. You'll receive an intimate observation of these magnificent animals as you stay in a luxury lodge.

Seasonal Events

Did you know West Midlands Safari Park hosts a dazzling series of events throughout the year?

Add some magic to the winter months at the Lantern Festival and the Santa Safari. Have you been good little boys and girls this year? Have a ghoul of a time in the Spooky Spooktacular Perils of the Pumpkin Patch during the October months. It's a haven for all things Halloween! In the spring and summer months, families can expect an amazing time at multiple events like the Dino Weekend as well as Safari Summer Clubs - great for the Summer holidays!
