- Indoor and Soft Play Areas
Suitable for ages: Babies and Toddlers (0-3), Young Children (4-8) and Older Children (9-12)
Venue type: Indoor
Tubby Bears Playzone features a wicked triple level adventure play frame designed for older kids which features nigh on all the modern classics from sliding and climbing to tunnels, bridges and balls - oh, so many balls! The height restriction for this zone is 4''9 so if you've got particularly diminutive 10 year old they're still in!
They also offer a matted toddler area with age appropriate toys and challenges for the small folk along with plenty of space for crawling, toddling, lurching, stumbling and of course for you too, so you can be part of their play experience, so long of course as you're wearing socks! It applies to everyone you know!
Plus of course while you're watching all the craziness and fun from a safe distance you can avail yourself of their lovely cafe which now includes luxurious leather sofas!
And if they love the place (what's not to love?!) there are a nice variety of children's birthday party packages on hand to make their big day go with a bang: including traditional version, Princess Party, pirate Party (yar!), After School version and full on Private Hire! These come in a variety of themes which are apparently best discussed with management when planning, so off you go, you've got the number!

I visited "Tubby Bears" today with my 3-year-old grandson who has special needs and cannot walk. Although there was no special concession on the tariff, a reduced price was invented for us on the spot! My grandson was able to use the soft play areas designed for crawling babies and loved watching the older children enjoy clambering and sliding about with such energy and delight. The food was first class and although the menu was quite restricted it was very well balanced with low gluten and gluten-free options available (e.g. jacket potatoes with various fillings) in addition to the usual bread-based foods. The chocolate flapjack was particularly delicious and prices very reasonable indeed. The staff could not have been more caring; they carried food to the table which was so helpful to us due to my grandson's mobility problems. We had a great time and look forward very much to going again.
