Rides and Attractions
First up, you'll need to duck as you hurtle past giant blades on SAW - The Ride the world's first horror movie-themed rollercoaster based on the fan-favourite franchise SAW! But that's not all, you'll also experience a vertical drop of 100ft - you better hold on tight.
Ready to hit speeds of 60mph as you scream and soar above the ground? Then climb aboard the UK’s only winged roller coaster - THE SWARM, on Swarm Island! If you're someone who has a strong stomach, then The Vortex is calling your name. Experience 15 high-speed rotations per minute at 65ft in the air! You can scream...but try to hold your stomach in.
If you want to experience the UK's fastest roller coaster, then you need to ride Stealth, accelerating from 0 to 80mph in under 2 seconds, are you ready for it?
Looking for more thrilling coasters? Thorpe Park definitely isn't short of them! If you dare, sit yourself on the Detonator, as you face a 100ft drop tower ride that will have you falling to the pit of your stomach. Are you cuckoo bananas? Have a monkey of a time on Mr Monkey's Banana swinging ship ride that the whole family will enjoy!
Horror-themed roller coasters
As well as the incredible SAW - The Ride, if you're a fan of gore, try The Walking Dead - The Ride, another horror-themed ride that will have you screaming. Leave Thorpe Park behind and enter the immersive post-apocalyptic experience of walkers chasing you...
This indoor experience has live-action role-play, characters that will scare the socks off you and a tire lift hill with high-speed drops of almost 10m. Think the walkers will be slow? Think again, they reach speeds up to 45kph, so you better watch out, the darkness awaits.
And there’s also the incredible Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon, which will make you question where reality stops and the story begins.
Wettest Water Rides
However, if you're a fan of the wet and wonderful rollercoasters, then try these on for size. Storm Surge is a high-flying spinning water ride that is full of twists and turns in a life raft on a 64ft spiralling descent! Can you keep control of your life raft?
Get soaked with Tidal Wave! One of Europe's tallest rides and a giant flume that has 215 litres of water waiting for you, so think again about wearing clothes that aren't waterproof, because you will get soaked! You'll be at a high of 85ft in an oversized boat where everyone will get soaked (even bystanders) as you spiral 64ft towards the water below, creating a giant water wave! A water flume that should definitely be on the list of the most thrilling rides in Thorpe Park.

Travelling from London to Thorpe Park
By Car:
From Central London, Thorpe Park is located approximately 20 miles southwest. The journey typically takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.
- Join the M4: Head towards the M4 motorway, which is easily accessible from central London.
- M25 Junction: After joining the M4, continue to follow it until you reach the M25 motorway. Take the M25 towards "Heathrow Terminal 5, Gatwick Airport."
- Exit at Junction 11: Stay on the M25 until you reach Junction 11, which is the exit for Chertsey.
- Follow Signs to Thorpe Park: After exiting, follow the signs directing you to Thorpe Park. This will involve a short drive through local roads.
- Thorpe Park is well signposted, and there are ample parking facilities available on site.
By Bus:
