Attraction Information
The Runway Visitor Park is a fantastic trip for kids fascinated by flight, with raised viewing mounds offering a clear 180 degree view over the airfield from which to see some of the 600 daily aircraft movements! It's a fascinating environment and one which almost everyone will get something out of. There's also a great outdoor children's play area for them to play pilots on and a handy repository for that pocket money that's been tickling your pocket in the kiddie section of their Aviation Shop.
The famous Concorde G-BOAC was of course BA's supersonic airliner which you can explore in person with a range of Tour Packages (booking essential); the decommissioned Nimrod patrol and attack aircraft can also be toured by those over 1.2m. Plus you can also hop on board either the DC-10, Trident or Avro RJX free of charge at weekends!
The only fees are for parking, but you can get in completely free if you saddle up and arrive via the family friendly Airport Orbital Cycleway. Plus with picnic sites, cafe and loos with big baby change space, this is a trip the whole family can relax into!
