You might be expecting to see dinosaurs at The Raptor Foundation, however this isn’t Jurassic Park.
It is a centre that provides injured birds of prey with medical care so that they can be rehabilitated and returned to the wild. Unfortunately some birds are unable to be released and so remain in the centre for sanctuary. These birds make up the animals that visitors can come and see, alongside meerkats, reptiles and insects.
Keepers are on hand to tell the animal’s stories and there are magnificent daily flying displays done by healthy birds. There’s a children’s play area, on-site tearoom and gift shop. The centre also offers a range of experience days that allow you to get even closer to some of the animals and learn more about flying and caring for these powerful birds.

Lovely Day Out

This is a lovely place to visit especially if the weather is nice and it is not very expensive to get in either. My 6 year old had a lovely time and really enjoyed the flying displays as well as the handling experiences with the birds and other animals. It was really pleasant to walk around and they have a café which I found reasonably priced.
