The Lizard and Kynance Cove
Lizard Point, Britain's most southerly point, offers dramatic cliff walks, wild flowers and geological features designed by nature to delight all visitors. Plus for some cerebral entertainment Marconi's historic wireless experiments are celebrated at The Lizard Wireless Station and the Marconi Centre at Poldhu. Two miles north lies Kynance Cove, openly considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, so who are we to argue!?
Visit with family camera in hand in May and June to capture the wild flowers at their best, you may even spot basking sharks if you keep your eyes out! Or for the more active family why no to surfing at Poldhu or kayak at Mullion! Hire facilities are not too distant.
Note: Kynance car park toilets closed in winter (cove toilets open all year). Some sheer cliffs. No lifeguard cover.
