Home to ponies, pygmy goats, alpacas and lots more adorable animals, The Garden House in Marple is a lovely urban farm to visit with your kids. It’s a non-profit community project, so there’s no entry fee, just voluntary donations. At the farm, your little animal lovers will have the chance to learn about the furry and feathery residents, as well as to pet and feed their new friends.
From the piglets of the rare Gloucester Old Spot pigs, to the orphan lambs and chicks in spring, to the colourful butterflies in the butterfly house, there are lots of wonderful creatures to be seen. But there’s more than just animals. The Garden House also has fun play areas and even an ice cream kiosk for your little adventures.
The Garden House is situated in a field by the River Goyt, so don’t hesitate to take a walk and explore the beautiful Cheshire countryside. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing family stroll in nature.

Great day out in Marple!

Visited here recently and it's a great attraction for Marple! Lots of things for kids to do, including a zip wire, picnic tables and lots of different animals. It's right next to the river Goyt as well, so a nice place to sit. It's recommended you give a £2 donation per person which I think is a bargain for a great day out.
