Attraction Information
The Bubblecar Museum is a quirky little place that has some wonderful cars and bikes in themed settings, such as a scrap yard, and a picnic diorama. Some of these displays are pretty entertaining, and others are thought provoking.
This is the only public museum in the UK that is dedicated to micro cars, which are cars that have an engine capacity of less than 700cc, although most are much smaller.
Kids will enjoy learning the details of this significant part of British motoring history, from their beginning in the times of austerity after WWII, through the swinging 60s.
Find out about the different designs, including examples of Reliant, Bond, Frisky and Isetta, to name a few, and how they changed shape over time.
There are some scooters and later cars on display too, including the single seater Bamby, from the early 1980s. The museum also features a row of period shops, where you can discover their extensive collections of memorabilia from the 1950s, including chine and Bakelite.
