Sudbury Hall and The Museum of Childhood are two totally different experiences sitting side by side! Double your fun!
The 17th century country home of the Lords Vernon is bound to get little imaginations going, featuring wood carvings, fancy plasterwork and classical story based murals, plus the grandeur of the Great Staircase and the Loooong Gallery!
The Museum of Childhood is a genuine delight for all ages with literally something for everyone: even the adults get excited when they see things they'd forgotten from childhood! Kids can join in making stories, play with some of the toys and dress up to be a chimney sweep, a scullion or a Victorian pupil! Your family will be captivated by their interactive displays and educated by the archive film.
Plus the charming outdoor woodland play area is full of whimsical but sturdy natural style equipment, great for the little ones to burn off some crazy on if you've got the weather for it. They also hold some seasonal activities out here including an annual (but varying) Halloween Event!
And if the grown-ups are feeling culturally eagle eyed they can also amuse themselves trying to spot which scenes from Pride and Prejudice were filmed here!
