- Railway and Transport Attractions
Suitable for all ages
Venue type: Indoor, Outdoor
You will be taken back in time to a ten mile long 1950s branchline where, remarkably, little has changed on the line since 1863 when the Victorians brought a railway to this splendid area of the Highlands.
And we have some amazing family experiences on offer to make your trip extra special. Join us for the Santa Express, where Santa will join you for a stunning trip through the wintry Scottish Highlands. Throughout the rest of the year, join them for outdoor packages (steam and activities) with their partners such as G2Outdoors and Craggan Outdoors.
Bring your bikes on board for free and take the steam train to board - then take a 30 minute (mainly off-road) cycle to the beach in Loch Garten or to the Osprey Centre, before steaming back in to Aviemore! There are also plenty of dining options for the whole family to enjoy! From full, traditional Sunday Lunch, through to Light Lunch or Afternoon Tea, to packed lunches for you to take away on your trip! There's plenty of choice: visit the website through the link for full details!
