Stansted Park is set within 1700 acres of forest in the heart of the south downs national park. We have so much to see and do so why not bring the kids along for a day out with a difference?!
Visit the walled gardens for a ride on our mini railway, to let off steam in the play area, for a delicious bite to eat at The Pavilion tea room or to get lost (and found) in The Yew Maze!
Our house is set out as if Lord Bessborough were still at home and the servants were still living downstairs waiting on their master. There are hundreds of interesting artefacts to see and lots of things to learn along the way.
If all of that is not enough to tire you out we have tons of forest and parkland to explore, so what are you waiting for?

Lovely house & staff

I took a four year old, 2 year old & 18 month old, it was definitely not suitable for this age range. It was during the Easter hols, they put on a chick hunt but seemed shocked that I was there with children that age. It is not suitable for buggies. In each room is a lovely member of staff to tell you about the room but I couldn’t really listen as I was trying to stop the children touching the furniture or going under the ropes, all in all it was pretty stressful! I would say it’s suitable for children 8+ but they may find it a bit boring. There were no other children on the day we visited.
