Ocean Tunnel

We think this aquatic experience is one of a kind and a must-see! Immersive yourself amongst the majestic creatures swimming around you. From the guitarfish and Queensland Grouper to stingrays and even sharks...

Or admire the interactive colour-changing display tanks, there's plenty of diverse sea life to uncover!

Shark Shipwreck

Discover the shark shipwreck, home to blacktip reef sharks and octopus. All the incredible creatures here would call a shipwreck their home! From lion fish and pufferfish to rabbitfish and more beautiful creatures. 

Coral Reef

Then witness a kaleidoscope of colour at the coral reefs, where you'll a bustling environment. With every colour and aquatic creature you can imagine. 

Rocky Hideout Zone

The Rocky Hideout Zone is an immersive environment where you can explore caves and get up close to more amazing sea creatures!

Next stop: The lair of the Japanese Spider Crabs... Did you know these wonderful crabs measure 3 metres claw to claw?

Back on land walk visit the Ocean Window, the Jellyfish Seas, Stingray Bay and the Rockpool.

Grab your headset, sit back and plunge below the surface into the immersive VR experience... This exciting attraction enables you to experience an immersive adventure in the ocean for a small extra fee. Choose from 4 different ocean and sea creature-themed experiences and away you go...

You aren’t going to believe what else is on offer at SEA LIFE Manchester… Get ready for the after-hours experience… LIVE MERMAIDS! Make your little one's dreams come true with a chance to meet magical mermaids swimming amongst the fish. This enchanting experience is running on selected dates so make sure you check the dates online before you book!

SEA LIFE Manchester does not have a cafe onsite but there are plenty of shops, restaurants and eateries to dine out at nearby.

Accessibility

There is disabled access throughout the centre as well as disabled toilets. Disabled guests can get a free carer ticket, you will just need to show proof of disability for your accompanying disabled guest:

- A certified NHS letter from your doctor or consultant (dated within the last 2 years).

- A letter or statement from a professional body (e.g. a Nurse or a BUPA Healthcare Advisor).

- A blue badge along with an additional form of photographic ID.A DLA letter.

You can request hidden disability lanyards from the reception desk - usually worn by guests with autism. The green lanyard notifies staff that you may need extra assistance while you explore the aquarium.

Transport & Parking for Visitors

Travelling by Train

You can access SEA LIFE Manchester easily via a bus connection from Manchester's biggest train station:

Manchester Piccadilly: Then catch the express X50 or 250 bus from Piccadilly Gardens, a few minutes’ walk away.

Travelling by Bus

Buses run regularly from all over the Greater Manchester region to our own on-site bus station.

City Centre Express X50: the X50 is our high-frequency express bus route from Manchester Piccadilly, running every 15 minutes from early till late, 363 days a year.

Travelling by Tram

Trafford Palazzo (where SEA LIFE is situated) is very close to the Barton Dock Road tram stop. The line runs from the Manchester City Centre Cornbrook stop.

Travelling by Car

This aquarium centre is situated right next to the Trafford Palazzo Car Park at The Trafford Centre. Parking is free all day, every day.

Directions: Located off the M60, via junction 9 or 10.
