Attraction Information
Scolton Manor is a notable former manor house which is now a museum offering a delectable taste of Victorian style and society, both above and below stairs! It's also surrounded by over 60 acres of park and woodland which carries a Green Flag Award, so well worth exploring!
Children are encouraged to actively learn about creepy-crawlies and other small creatures as they follow the Dragon's Run Mini Beast Exercise Trail around the grounds. Plus there's the Visitors' Centre with appealing displays focusing on green issues and the wildlife of the park. You can also find the loos and the baby changing facilities here too.
For energy busting, there is a recreational area towards the bottom of the park, including a wooden build adventure play fort, plus swings, slide and picnic tables. There are also climbing and scrambling walls, a maze, and other play features dotted around the park, as well as nest boxes and viewing hides are scattered around for your twitching pleasure!
Going back inside, Scolton Manor itself has thousands of relevant objects on display illustrating the area's rich history housed in the Manor House and Stable Block. This agricultural and rural life collection is purportedly one of the largest on display in Wales, so well worth a decent look through.
