Attraction Information
Salisbury City Guides are led by professional Blue Badge guides who are passionate about sharing their knowledge of the city.
There are 4 walks especially for kids: 'Timber Ahoy', Sights, Sounds and Smells', 'Family Frighteners' and Salisbury Cathedral through a child's eyes'. Kids are welcome on all walks, but these can be adapted to the age group to help them join in the fun.
Included in the regular tour are the Tudor gaol that held witches and wizards, an execution site and its 500 year old ghost, plus the world's only cinema with a 15th century foyer! Find out about the ‘Damned Bishop', the card cheat who lost his hand and so much more.
If you would like to know more about the cathedral with the tallest spire in England, there is a dedicated tour covering this, plus the lovely buildings in the Close, which have been visited and inhabited by world famous musicians, artists and writers.
If you fancy a bit of a scare, try the Classic Ghost Tour and discover Salisbury's amazing collection of spooks. A great chance to explore hidden parts of this haunted city as you hear tales about things that go bump in the night!
