A nice mixture of countryside, animals and history awaits you at Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre.
This multi-award winning heritage farm attraction was founded in 1964 to help educate people on agriculture. It now houses rare breeds of sheep, pigs, goats, Shetland ponies, cows, donkeys and lots of chickens. Visitors can feed the animals, hunt for eggs in the hay, dig for buried treasure and take a ride on the tractor before heading indoors to the activity barn.
For a dose of history take a tour of the refurbished watermill, which dates all the way back to the 18th century and explore all its crooks, nooks and crannies. Don’t worry if you can’t make it all the way to the top, as there is a virtual tour on the first floor.

Brillant day out

I took my two Grandchildren for the day today and believe me keeping those two occupied is not easy at 3 and 5 years old. We arrived at 10am and they didnt want to leave at 4 pm. The whole day was fun and so much to do with tractor rides, animal feeding/handling, a maze and a fabulous indoor play structure. Great day Thank you so much Lynda, Finnley and Lily
Could have spent all day

Brilliant events, lamb racing, ferret racing, pond dipping all ran a couple of times, Excellent Indoor play area, outdoor play area and a maze lots for the chIldren to enjoy! We had a Tractor ride with information on organic farming and they also have a renovated flour mill and farm house which was exciting and informative. Not a great deal of animals but did well with what they have got!
Love this place!! BUT it's let down by the cafe

Sacrewell farm itself is wonderful! Great environment , loads to do, it's so clean and has a wonderful feel to the place. In fact I hate to only give it 3 stars but my experience was totally let down by the cafe on site! I had to wait so long for service, it was expensive, the quality of food I received wasn't great and the staff don't really seem to be that bothered with their customers. I saw lots of people with packed lunches and their own picnics and now I know why. I'll definitely be going back to Scarewell but I'll be bringing my own food. Lesson learnt! It's such a shame as it's the only thing that let my whole experience down.
