Railway and Transport Attractions
Suitable for all ages
Venue type: Outdoor
The Rudyard Lake Steam Railway uses miniature narrow gauge steam engines on its trains to give a 3 mile return trip along the side of Rudyard Lake.
The railway uses coal fired steam engines on all its trains. One of the UK's finest heritage steam railways and is constantly developing new attractions to give great family days out.
Their steam trains are equivalent to about half the size of a narrow gauge railway with 10.25 inch gauge tracks. The trains run whatever the weather so you're all good for British Summer as they have covered coaches.
The Birthday Party Express train is the ideal birthday party venue for chuff heads of all ages, plus Rudyard Lake is a fantastic family friendly spot for days out with chances for picnics, sailing, boating and fishing as well as the riding of the steam train. A full day if you want it to be!
