Come and enjoy a relaxing day in the country at Rays Farm.

Situated in the Shropshire countryside, shut the gate on your everyday trials and tribulations and let the fresh air, nature and animals there eradicate all your stress! Children will love meeting the animals. There’s a pygmy goat paddock you can walk through, as well as guinea pigs, reindeer, chickens and owls. The small animal barn has regular new arrivals, which means there’s always someone different to meet!

Out in the grounds you can explore one of two woodland walks. Step into the wonder of your child’s imagination as you wander through the mythical woods or fairy-tale forest and discover the delights of looking at the world through their eyes. Build your own den, race up scramble nets or climbing ropes and in the summer months kick off your shoes to feel the warm sand between your toes on the ‘mini beach’. Don’t forget your bucket and spade!

Enjoy outdoor life in all seasons!

Excellent time had by all

Visited the farm at the weekend and had a really lovely day. The children loved the woodland work and had great fun trying to find the wood sculptures, and had to be lured away from the scramble nets with a promise of a hot chocolate for the lovely coffee shop. Everywhere is very clean and well kept and the animals were all very friendly. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely visit again.

Nice farm but very badly managed

We really enjoyed the farm part of our visit but will never come back or recommend to anyone to visit due to the poor management. The farm seems to be run by a large family where kids as old as 10 work in the coffee shop. We bought lunch in the cafe and waited 1h and 10min for 2 jacket potatoes which were heavily microwaved (one of them served very cold...) And had to go to the kitchen to complain few times ... We bought a portion of chips on the side for our daughter and she had to wait for her food as long as we had to wait for ours and the size of the portion was a fraction of what you think "side of chips is" Her chips tasted like it was a day old and has been reheated in a microwave too. The quality of the food was beyond acceptable not to mention how long we had to wait for it. The coffee shop feels dirty, too. We didn't see a single staff member on the farm area throughout the whole day but the animals seem to be very well looked after. I think if we had picnic our visit would have been much better. The place feels smaller than what you would expect and it would not take much for your children to get bored ...
