The grounds of Prestongrange are open year round and are accessible to the public.
Prestongrange offers a modest cafe serving tea, coffee and snacks. There is an outdoor picnic area and families are welcome to bring their own food to eat outside.
Toilets including a disabled toilet are located in the visitor centre. There are boost steps in the bathrooms for toddlers.
