From the red stone medieval castle to the world-famous garden with its Italianate Terraces, Edwardian Formal Garden, and Great Lawn, there’s plenty to explore with the children or grandchildren this Easter at Powis.
Celebrate the arrival of spring as you join in Powis Castle's Easter Egg hunt! Find out about the life cycles of seven different animals through a whole host of fun activities that will lead you to your prize – a chocolate egg! You can also get a vegan and Free From chocolate egg. Dodge the spiderwebs along Yew Walk, help a bee collect its pollen in a net, spot and identify different garden birds, and follow the life of a frog – are you brave enough to put your hands in the slimy frogspawn?

Delve into the castle’s rich history with a quick tour of its interior and spend the rest of your visit in the beautiful gardens. It’s a great place to enjoy a breath of fresh air with your family.
Did you know that The Clive Museum hold the UK’s most significant collections of Indian objects? Located inside the castle, the museum will take you on a journey into the past, back to the 17th-19th century. Enter the mysterious world of India and the Far East with more than 300 items and Asian artefacts from ivories, a collection of paintings, textiles and Hindu gods statues. You'll also find silver and gold, weapons and ceremonial armour.
Time to go out and enjoy the garden! Powis Castle has marvellous Grade I listed gardens, including 17th-century Italianate terraces with gigantic clipped yews and an Edwardian Formal Garden. Go for a stroll, enjoy the fresh air and shed away the stress of everyday life. Try to jump as high as the 30ft high, cloud-like yew trees. Race each other along the herbaceous borders or spot deer in the deer park.
The kids will love running around the Powis Castle gardens, no matter the season. There are also plenty of family-friendly National Trust events and activities throughout the year - don’t miss out!

Food & Drink
The Courtyard Cafe serves lunches, light bites, tasty snacks and delicious cakes. The Garden Coffee Shop also offers snacks, cakes, delicate sandwiches and ice cream - what a bonus! You can always have a cheeky browse in the courtyard shop too for some other yummy treats and souvenirs.

- Step-free route around the garden, there are also some steep slopes.
- No step-free access to the castle.
- Indoor spaces are restricted to assistance dogs only. Dogs on leads at all times.

The Clive Museum
