Set up to help bridge the gap between disabled and able bodied people, Ponderosa is an inclusive rural therapeutic centre that specialises in offering fun and accessible activities for the whole family.
The star attraction of the centre is the farm, with its wide selection of animals from the Tropical Jungles of Brazil to the Sandy Plains of Australia, as well as the usual farm favourites such as guinea pigs, rabbits, meerkats, racoon dogs, otters and pygmy goats – some of which can be fed by visitors.
Outdoor fun also includes a nature trail, zip wire and a purpose built beach area with its very own pirate ship, and indoor play can continue in the Bonanza Play Barn, which is suitable for children up to 8 years old.

Lovely day out at a great price

Went recently with our 1 year old and thought it was fab. Loads to see, animals well cared for and tons of great play areas for the kids. We’ll definitely be bringing our little one back as she gets older. Also, it was lovely to hear the enthusiasm of the animal keepers discussing their work amongst themselves as we walked round, and all part of a great cause too. Definitely well worth the money, much more to see than some of the other large and less reasonably priced attractions!
Lovely little Gem

Always took my kids here and always had a enjoyable day ,easy to spend a day here and take a picnic or The a cafe was always good ,my son always remembers the day he stroked a animal which was in the keepers arms It would be lovely for them to get support to maintain this lovely family place as there is so much more they could do to improve and expand I’m off today as I have not been for a while as kids have now grown up and I’ve been away for a few years so it will be interesting to see how it has changed So it’s a lovely day today so off just me and hubby will write a review when I get back

Many of the enclosures were missing the animals and it didn't seem well maintained.
